Leopard Print Boots/Office

Not quite the ponyskin desert boots I was looking for but these are perfect nonetheless.
I noticed them in office the other day and instantly fell in love, the fact that they were still full price and not been thrown in the sale couldn't even stop me!! I love the colour of the print, which is always one of the hardest things to get right and the feel of the leather is so soft and supple, it can only be one thing, LOVE!!!

I already have about 3 outfits I want to dress them with, just wait for the lashing of leopard posts now, including the one that I'll be wearing for my journey to Berlin next week... All very exciting. Leopard Grrrr.....

The best Christmas gift I got this year... I've wanted a Birkin bag since, well since I was about 14 I suppose. Even though then would of accounted for mass beatings in the school yard... thankfully I didn't have one then, but now I do!!

Thank you so much to the very special person who got it for me XOXO

Book Review: The Boy From Baby House 10

Photobucket

The Boy From Baby House 10/Published by Phoenix/By Alan Philps & John Lahutsky

This is in all honesty the best book I've read, ever!! It's hard hitting, powerfully emotive and overwhelmingly eye-opening. This book made me realise how much I take for granted, how naive I am to the suffering in the world and made me think about what it is I can do to help.

The book is a real life account of a young boys struggle from within a Russian state orphanage to the hell of a mental asylum to his adoption. It is composed from the real situations that everyone who came into contact with this young boy and how they tried to help, as well as being co-written by the boy himself.

At times it can be a very tough read, however this book is one of hope and one of how this young boys positive thinking, bright and inquisitive personality captured everyone who came into contact with him. It's about love, compassion and above all is about never giving up, believing in yourself and by being yourself how there are always people to love you.

If you haven't read it I strongly urge you to. It has deeply moved me and I will never forget it's message.

Available for £5.99 from Amazon.

The Finished Product: Custom Cardi

TA-DA!!!! Here it is the completed customisation of the cardigan from the previous post.

So I changed the buttons to these gorgeous brown woven leather ones and added the kilt pin as an additional fastening. It went down really well on a night out pre-NYE and kept me amazingly warm!!!

Have you been doing any customising this New Year??

New Year: Time For A Refresh

Happy New Year everyone!!! It's time for a new start with the wardrobe, the spring collections will be hitting stores soon and fashion week is a matter of weeks away... Exciting!!

I've been digging through my wardrobe and have found some truly shocking items of the past, 'time to refresh and update' I thought. Technically this Cardigan wasn't an old find, I actually got it at H&M but am truly horrified by the state of the White plastic buttons... Eeeek!!!

Fear not, I ran straight to the haberdashery and picked up these gorgeous woven leather buttons and Kilt pins. Perfect to breath some life into this piece I think.

Keep it posted people... The look is to follow!!

Street Style: Snow Gent

Photobucket

Photobucket

On my journey from Grovesnor Square to Marc by Marc Jacobs (I was hoping to find some stocking fillers from their special items to no avail) I spotted this super cool guy trotting across the road. I practically yelled at him and managed to get him to let me take his photo.

Of course I was first entranced by the Alexander Wang Rocco bag and when i noticed the rest of the outfit I realised how much style and wither swagger this guy has. The McQueen coat teamed with the Topman trousers and gorgeous burgundy boots, a simply stunning outfit. A new style crush and I'm more than a little bit envious.

It has inspired me to discover more gents with style in Merry old London. Keep it locked for more Street Style.

Jacket/Topman T-shirt/Gap Fingerless Gloves/Topman Bag/Cambridge Satchel Company Jeans/Topman Trainers/Nike

So the bag I waited 8 weeks for finally arrived, looking stunningly red and I love the monogrammed initials and on top of that it snowed like crazy. Perfect opportunity for some photos.

I finally got around to my Christmas shopping and headed into central London. It was a complete blizzard when I arrived at Selfridges, but the snow had cleared by the time I left and I stumbled upon Grovesnor Square looking so Picturesque. Perfect!!!

I may look like I'm not wearing enough clothing for the current condition but I felt wonderfully warm. The bag is now my staple piece for cheering my up and brightening my day and The Nike's I bought the day before teamed with super thick wool socks kept my feet so cosy.

Have you guys and girls been dressing up in the snow??
